Job Description

Insight Global Is seeking an Advanced Research Engineer to work onsite for a client in Ann Arbor, MI. Responsibilities include:

 - Developing control oriented plant models with first principles and data driven approaches, and implement into diverse linear and non-linear systems applications.

 - Software in the loop (SiLs) development processes

 - Collaborate with R&D engineers to propose new ideas, process improvements and apply to development.

 - Vehicle testing with rapid porotype unites, validation of control oriented models and optimization algorithms

Skills and Requirements

• Masters degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (or other relevant fields); PhD is a plus.

• 1-3 years of industry experience

• Strong background in control and optimization, numerical methods, and dynamic systems.

• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Python libraries (e.g. NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, SciPy, PyTorch, TensorFlow).

• Knowledge of current machine learning techniques, including tree-based methods and neural networks.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Automotive industry experience null
