Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Description

The HR Manager will be responsible for formulating and implementing HR strategies that align with the company's short and long-term goals. This role requires a proactive and collaborative approach to ensure successful onboarding, offboarding, employee training, and career development. The HR Manager will also oversee benefit programs, ensure legal compliance, and maintain a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Planning:

  • Formulate HR strategies that align with the organization's short and long-term goals.

  • Onboarding and Offboarding:

  • Facilitate collaborative relationships across various functions to ensure successful onboarding and offboarding of employees.

  • HR Solutions and Analysis:

  • Collect and analyze information to develop HR solutions and recommend courses of action.

  • Employee Training and Development:

  • Design and implement strategies for employee training and career development.

  • Manage and track the completion of employee trainings.

  • Workplace Culture:

  • Foster a positive workplace culture where every employee understands their role and impact on the organization.

  • Performance Management:

  • Support managers in performance management efforts, including bi-annual performance reviews and coaching conversations.

  • Benefits Management:

  • Oversee all benefit programs with a goal of retaining talent through best-in-class offerings.

  • Employee Engagement and Retention:

  • Collaborate with all departments and managers to ensure optimal employee engagement and retention.

  • Policy Development:

  • Develop and implement inclusive employee policies.

  • Legal Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • Maintain personnel files and all employee records.

  • Respond to all reporting requests from state and federal entities.

  • Manage company compliance and serve as the point of contact.

  • Oversee the outside vendor for company licensing.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Employee Relations, Onboarding, Full Cycle Recruiting.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Experience resolving conflicts and having difficult conversations.

  • Must be trustworthy, analytical, and solution-oriented with superior follow-up skills.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar HR role.

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and labor laws.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (preferred).

    Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry.

• Proven expertise in Employee Relations, Onboarding, and Full Cycle Recruiting.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Proficient in using HR software and other related tools.

• Knowledge of HR laws and regulations.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels within the organization.

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
