Responsibilities

• Initiate, monitor and terminate outpatient hemodialysis treatments.
• Completion of all required documentation.
• Accurately prepare dialysis machine according to dialysis prescription.  Disinfection of dialysis equipment.
• Assist in stocking of the dialysis unit.
• Mixing of acids and bicarbonate solutions.
• Posses knowledge of water treatment sytems and troubleshoot alarm conditions.
• Responsible for collecting, spinning and packaging lab specimens.
• Communicate with appropriate nurses, physicians, or PA's as patient condition warrants.
• Maintains and protects patient confidentiality.
• Effectively interacts with peers, patients, family and interdisciplinary team members.
• Sucessfully completes hemodialyisis training with satisfactory performance.
• Identifies conflict and seeks opportunities to promote resolution.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of hemodialyisis experience required.
• BONENT or CCHT certification required.
• Demonstrated effective commuoication and problem solving skills.
• BCLS certification.
• Ability to perfromace in a fast-paced 1-4 staff patient ratio as evidenced byi performance reviews and reference checks.
• Must have clean criminal history and drug screen.

Compensation and Benefits

• $17/hour
