Job Summary
The Department of Family Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and organized person with excellent multi-tasking and record-keeping skills to join our research team starting part-time. This position provides administrative support for a large-scale National Institute of Health (NIH) funded clinical trial examining the impact of delivery of healthy foods to moms with low income on pregnancy weight gain, diet, and outcomes. The characteristic duties and responsibilities of this position involve research participant interaction and management of day-to-day study activities. This individual will work with the project manager and clinical research associate to enroll study participants, collect and manage data, and support day-to-day operations of the research. This position will start at 20 hours per week with the potential to increase based on study needs and quality of work.

Responsibilities*
Coordinating with the project manager and research associate on daily progress of the study including recruitment, enrollment, and data collection
Shared responsibility to conduct all necessary daily study activities including enrollment, participant interviews, data collection, ordering and distribution of supplies, and distribution on incentives
Monitor and review survey, diet, and weight data submitted by participants throughout study participation; conduct quality checks and reach out to participants to validate data as needed
Medical record data abstraction to collect primary and secondary study outcomes
Review participant requested grocery orders, place orders, and manage delivery of groceries to study participants
Monitoring and responding to participant questions and concerns via text, call, or email as they arise at enrollment and throughout the study
Additional study related activities as needed, based on recruitment numbers
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree in health or nutrition field

Minimum 1 years of directly related experience in clinical research and clinical trials is necessary. Please review SoCRA's Definition of a Clinical Research Professional qualifying experience prior to applying.
An advanced degree in a health-related areas such as: Health Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, Public Health, Health Care Administration, Clinical Research Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Epidemiology, Foreign MD.
Minimum 3 years of human subject experience (clinical, lab or health regulations) such as related patient care, related community health and wellness, related clinical information, and research.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Highly motivated, detail-oriented, conscientious, responsible, and excellent organizational skills
Able to work non-traditional hours to accommodate study participant schedules
Internet access and remote work capabilities including Zoom and Teams proficiency
Possess initiative and willingness to learn new tasks
Ability to work independently as well as with other team members
Strong interpersonal skills (with adolescents as well as peers), professional demeanor, dependability, and ability to work well under pressure
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to respect and protect confidential and highly sensitive information
Prior experience in or working knowledge of the health care field
Knowledgeable and experienced with the impacts of nutrition on health and weight
Experienced with discussing sensitive topics like weight gain or pregnancy loss
Desired Qualifications*
1-2 years of experience with survey research and/or data management
Nutrition counseling experience or registered dietitian
Interest or experience working with pregnant women or adolescents
Working knowledge of Qualtrics, REDCap, MiChart, and/or data analysis software

Background Screening
