Robert Half Sr Network Engineer in Andover, Massachusetts

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Sr Network Engineer based in Andover, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and maintaining our company's diverse network systems. This includes LANs, WANs, telecommunications, VoIP, security, and wireless networks. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security of our network systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage LANs, WANs, telecommunications, VoIP, security, and wireless networks.

• Collaborate with infrastructure engineers to assess and address network capacity needs.

• Oversee the configuration of networks for optimal performance and reliability.

• Provide technical oversight to managed service providers.

• Proactively monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.

• Develop and implement network policies, procedures, and training plans.

• Research and recommend network solutions to meet evolving business needs.

• Manage network assets and inventory and generate network performance reports.

• Oversee upgrades of network equipment, hardware, and software.

• Implement robust security measures to protect company assets.

• Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure required connectivity and performance.

• Work outside of normal business hours and provide on-call support when necessary. Requirements • Proficiency in Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and Cisco Technologies is mandatory.

• Extensive experience with Configuration Management is required.

• Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst Switches is a must.

• Knowledge and experience with VPN Technologies are necessary.

• Proficiency in Load Balancer and VoIP System is expected.

• Experience with Network Cabling is required.

• Vendor Management skills are essential.

• Proven track record of maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

• A high degree of initiative and ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
