The Operations and Supply Chain organization has an opportunity for a talented professional to join our team in a critical Supplier Engineering role. You will be involved in all aspects of planning and executing the production of our wide range of weapon systems, from tactical missiles to strategic defense products. You will provide technical knowledge & process capability expertise to improve supplier performance. You will be involved in all phases of product life cycles, beginning with proposal development, new product development, advanced manufacturing initiatives and continuing through production execution. You will ensure technical data packages are complete and accurate and that the suppliers’ technical performance meets the objectives of quality, cost and schedule. You will drive Raytheon design requirements to improve manufacturing and quality capabilities of suppliers. You will initiate continuous and measurable design and process improvement of supplier hardware for affordability.

What You Will Do:

  • Communicate and translate the technical data package to suppliers

  • Lead and conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity and risk

  • Perform technical evaluations in support of cost and price analysis

  • Lead evaluations of supplier requests for product and process changes

  • Manage product non-conformances; Drive root cause investigation and corrective action

  • Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities

  • Communicate the technical health of our suppliers to stakeholders

  • Support travel as needed

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with Manufacturing Engineering of electro-mechanical assemblies is strongly preferred.

  • Experience with Engineering interpretation of technical documentation

  • Lean manufacturing

  • Experience supporting business and functional deliverables

  • Experience performing supplier assessments

  • Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated problem solving experience.

  • Demonstrated leadership in leading cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated planning and execution experience (be able to create a roadmap linking metrics to actions and generating execution plans).

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
