Salesforce Platform Manager / Technical Lead

Pune, Hyderabad, or Mumbai - India

Role Overview: Join our IT GTM Systems team to lead our Salesforce platform initiatives, driving innovation and excellence across Sales, Marketing, Services, Customer Success, and Partner functions. We seek a technically adept individual with a passion for elevating platform performance, usability, and security. Your deep expertise in Salesforce development, coupled with a keen eye for process optimization, will propel our IT infrastructure forward.

In this role you will...

  • Own and manage the Salesforce platform and health.

  • Design and build scalable technical solutions across the Salesforce platform and related applications, using your deep knowledge of Salesforce, Force.com, Apex Code, Visualforce, Lightning Components, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, triggers and other programming logic.

  • Take overall accountability for the health of the Salesforce org and platform, with an eye toward usability, performance, scalability, reusability of code, stability, security, smooth deployments, and information availability.

  • Drive admin/developer productivity and collaboration throughout the development process, facilitating automated testing and continuous integration (e.g., scratch orgs).

  • Define, setup, and maintain the sandbox landscape and pipelines and work closely with DevOps and QA to ensure best practices and defect-free deployments across environments.

  • Develop a repeatable playbook for the sandbox refresh cycle and management.

  • Define Cornerstone’s Salesforce coding standards and best practices; lead and guide developers WW and ensure that they follow coding standards and development and documentation guidelines.

  • Ensure technical documentation is maintained and continuously updated, as part of the SDLC process.

  • Collaborate with, mentor, and guide the development teams on delivering quality code and test classes.

  • Participate in key phases of the Salesforce development lifecycle, including solution design, configuration, code development, testing, and deployment.

  • Work closely with all IT stakeholders, ensure Salesforce platform health, security, controls, and compliance.

  • Build functionality to improve performance, security, scalability, and reliability of company’s Salesforce platform.

  • Proactively seek opportunities for process improvement: identify and resolve process bottlenecks, data issues, and inconsistencies to help improve operational efficiencies.

  • Take ownership of escalated or complex issues and follow through to resolution.

You’ve got what it takes if you have…

  • 8-10 years development experience with at least 3-4 years in a technical lead role. Strong technical expertise with business awareness.

  • Experience working across Lead-to-Order processes and functions across the enterprise: Marketing, Sales, Deal Desk, Order Mgmt., Support, Customer Success, Partner/Alliances, SaaS Product Engineering, and Professional Services.

  • Experience in declarative and programmatic solutioning: core configuration, flows, writing Apex code and triggers, VF pages & Lightning Web components, SOQL, SOSL, etc.

  • Knowledge in developing and deploying solutions using Salesforce Lightning (Lightning Design System/ Lightning App Builder/Lightning Web components).

  • Broad and deep knowledge and experience with the Salesforce product suite: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, Experience Cloud; Einstein;

  • Experience leading technical requirements gathering and building solutions from those requirements; working at-scale by reusing components and code to push apps out fast.

  • Experience with development tools, including Force.com IDE or Illuminated Cloud, Ant migration tool, GitHub, and others.

  • Experience with agile methodologies, including scrum, and continuous integration environments (Copado etc.) and waterfall.

  • Expert level understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies.
