Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Hammer Operator for our Anderson Quarry facility located in Anderson, SC.

What You'll Get To Do

• This position includes, but is not limited to, operating a track mounted hydraulic hammer to break oversize shot rock with equipment that exerts 10,000 pounds of hydraulic force.

• At the start of the shift, perform a mandatory pre-shift inspection on the equipment.

• Move levers and pedals to rotate the hydraulic hammer on chassis and to raise and lower hammer attachment.

• Utilize Hydraulic Hammer to break oversize rock/boulders.

• Report machinery/equipment defects or malfunctions to supervisor.

• Assist with power hydraulic hammer maintenance as needed.

What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired.

• Experience operating heavy equipment in the mining or construction industries is preferred.
