Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Anderson, South Carolina

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Anderson, South Carolina. This role involves managing vendor/supplier relations, processing invoices, conducting financial reviews, and assisting in various accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and manage new vendors/suppliers in Oracle, adhering to Corporate and IRS guidelines. • Process and route invoices for approval, using OnBase workflow and Oracle Financial Systems. • Conduct weekly and monthly reviews of AP reports to ensure all items are addressed and resolved. • Investigate and rectify past due items; perform statement reconciliations. • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents as necessary. • Assist in the training of new employees on Oracle and OnBase systems. • Participate in weekly disbursement processing tasks. • Assist with the year-end 1099 review and processing. • Support the month-end close process for the AP subledger. • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

This role requires proficiency in various skills such as Account Coding, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accrual Accounting, Auditing, Automated Clearing House (ACH), and Oracle. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist

• Hands-on experience with accounting software systems

• Proficiency in using ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with Concur expense management system

• Practical knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• In-depth understanding of accounting functions and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Accrual Accounting

• Solid experience in Auditing

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) procedures

• Proficiency in using Oracle for financial management

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.
