Job Title: Sales Relief/Merchandiser - Beer and Beverage Distributor

Summary: Madison County Beer and Beverage Distributor seeking a talented and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our company.

Job Description:

As Sales Relief/Merchandiser, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products are attractively displayed and readily available to customers in retail stores. Your role will involve implementing merchandising strategies, optimizing product placement, building displays, and maintaining excellent relationships with store managers and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and execute merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility and drive sales in assigned retail stores.
• Conduct regular store visits to assess product displays, check inventory levels, and replenish stock as needed.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers, staff, and key decision-makers to ensure our products receive optimal placement and attention.
• Collaborate with sales representatives to understand customer needs, promotional activities, and upcoming product launches.
• Optimize product placement, including shelf positioning, signage, and pricing tags, to enhance brand visibility and increase customer engagement.
• Ensure that product displays adhere to brand guidelines, cleanliness standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and promotions within the store, and provide timely feedback and recommendations to the sales and marketing teams.
• Conduct regular stock audits and report any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate departments.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, Equivalent, or Greater
• Valid Driver's License
• Own Transportation and Auto Insurance
• At least 21 years old (Merchandise Alcohol)
• Previous experience as a merchandiser or in a similar role, preferred
• Knowledge of merchandising principles, retail operations, and customer behavior. Strong visual merchandising skills with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with store personnel and build collaborative relationships.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently, while also being a team player.
• Proficiency in using a variety of technology.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move 25-40 pound cases of product repetitively, as required.
