Position Summary:
(a federal government contractor) is seeking a qualified Executive Housekeeper who will lead a goal-orientated hospital/clinical housekeeping department to create a team environment that is effective, productive, and rewarding. Together with your team, you will create a clean and safe environment for clinical staff, patients, and residents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Certified Executive Housekeeper (CEH), you will be responsible for managing the housekeeping/janitorial staff, overseeing the work of the shift leaders and service staff, managing inventory and supplies, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and training and developing the custodial staff.
Execute managerial and administrative oversight of the hospital housekeeping requirements.
Able to manage staff at multiple locations.
Must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for calls/meetings from client.
This position will also perform daytime shift lead duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
At least five (5) years' experience, which includes at least three (3) years general housekeeping experience and two (2) years of specific hospital housekeeping experience
Must meet or exceed one or more of the following:
o Certified member of the International Executive Housekeeper's Association (IEHA)
o Current member of the American Society for Healthcare Environmental Services of the American Hospital Association
o Successfully completed a publicly offered housekeeper's course certified by the IEHA, or
o Successful completion of a comparable formal Executive Housekeeper's Course emphasizing hospital disinfection and independently controlled by an in-service management training program
Other Requirements:
Ability to pass background checks by various Federal Agencies (e.g., DOD, DHS, FAA, etc.) to obtain security access badges
Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must pass a pre-employment drug test
Must pass a pre-employment background test
Must be fully vaccinated
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
OSHA 10 Training Certificate
OSHA 30 Training Certificate
Proficiency in languages other than English, especially Spanish

Working Environment:
Work is typically performed in an indoor environment, in a medical/clinic setting
Typical workweek: however, it may require some long days to meet periodic upturn in business demands or meet deadlines
Physical Demands (including but not limited to):
Frequent sitting for prolonged periods of time, using hands/fingers requiring dexterity and coordination to handle files and single pieces of paper, reaching with hands and arms for items abov and below desk level, talking, hearing, and seeing (up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus); walking from place to place
Work requires computer usage with strength, dexterity, coordination, and visual acuity to use keyboard and video display terminal and other office equipment.
Capable of spending long days on your feet for hours at a time
Ability to walk a multi-level, multi-building facility campus with limited breaks
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
Employee may be required to pass a functional capacity test for this position
Minimal travel will be required.
