Edwards Lifesciences Analyst Finance, Critical Care in Anasco, Puerto Rico

Perform financial analysis to support business planning and decision making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the Fixed Assets accountability of the company, including Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Assets Capitalization, Removals and Transfers and Cycle Count

• Process weekly payrolls in a timely and accurate manner in adherence to policies and procedures

• Perform general accounting monthly reconciliation across the plant

• Collaborate with assigned departments to update, forecast, and evaluate changes for capital expenditures based on business needs; and propose recommendations for course of actions

• Analyze information (e.g, overtime, hours worked) to create reports, and propose recommendations to management

• Train managers and new users on time and attendance system

• Calculate related savings of projects and coordinate CPA process with other departments for capital projects approval

• Perform analysis and reporting for the budget and forecast process for assigned areas

• Other incidental duties

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field , 2 years previous experience in Accounting Required

Additional Skills:

• Good analytical and problem solving skills

• Good computer skills in MS Office Suite required; integrated systems (e.g, JDE) and payroll systems (e.g Kronos) preferred

• Good communication, interpersonal relationship, and negotiation skills

• Able to read, write, comprehend, and speak Spanish and English

• Moderate knowledge of Accounting concepts and principles

• Expertise in one or more functional areas and detailed knowledge of other areas impacted within the business

• Strict attention to detail

• Must be able to work in a team environment under moderate supervision

• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

• Ensure proper handling, storage and disposal of all waste generated in the facility according to applicable laws within the waste management program (RCRA). Prepare regulatory and/or internal reports, complete waste determinations, sign waste manifests and coordinate proper training sessions to affected personnel
