The Operations Supervisor manufactures products by supervising staff; organizing and monitoring workflow. Responsible for providing direction to achieve production goals; planning and assigning work; implementing policies and procedures and recommending improvements in production methods; equipment; operating procedures and working conditions.

Your key responsibilities

• Supervise Durarome, Spray Dry, Emulsions, Blending Team Leaders and operators.

• Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning; monitoring; and appraising job results; coaching and counseling employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

• Communicate HS&E rules, procedures and performance to employees and contractor to ensure the highest safety performance is achieved.

• Fosters a spirit of cooperation and collaboration within and between departments.

• Coordinate engineering, maintenance and quality control activities on respective shift. Work with production, engineering, R&D, QC to resolve issues.

• Ensure operators are properly trained, including providing training on operating and safety procedures, equipment and controls.

• Ensure inventory accuracy, including proper labeling of all inventories.

• Maintain reporting to monitor production rates, yields, quality and cost variances. Maintain production and other documentation–batch sheets, PCN, forklift inspections, and participate in annual documentation review.

• Identify areas for improvement in process, equipment, and training. Clearly communicate with Team Leaders and management.

Position level and Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education and training. This position is also eligible for bonuses and benefits, which are not included in the pay scale provided. Salary $95,000-130,000

You bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, related scientific field or related manufacturing experience.

• 3-5 years supervisory experience in a food-manufacturing, pharmaceuticals or related manufacturing environment.

• Proficient in the use of computers and office applications.

• Knowledge of SAP a plus.
