Description

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Anaheim, California. This role is within the Plastics Manufacturing industry and involves comprehensive management of payroll functions, with an immediate need to cover a maternity leave. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing payroll for a diverse range of employees, both salaried and hourly, and will be required to be fully onsite with flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process payroll for 62 employees

• Handle time and attendance using TRINET’s time and attendance package

• Consolidate HR and payroll duties

• Manage transition of time and attendance responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll

• Use Microsoft Excel for various payroll functions

• Understand and adapt to the nuances of the Manufacturing Industry

• Address and resolve payroll garnishments.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role

• Proven ability to process payroll and bi-weekly payroll

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus

• Knowledge of payroll garnishments and relevant legal regulations

• Ability to manage time and attendance effectively

• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion

• High level of proficiency with payroll software
