We are looking for:

  • The Maintenance Planner is a technical person with a strong problem solving mindset, who develops detailed job packages.

  • The Maintenance Planner performs all activities with the goal of making the maintenance department the example of workplace excellence at the plant.

We count on you for :

  • The planner answers the questions – what, how and by whom.

  • Managing the work notification (validated) and work order backlog by reviewing backlog and planning list

  • Providing detailed work plans that insure safe and efficient execution of all maintenance jobs, except P0 and P1 urgencies

  • The planner creates WO, defines operations, their duration, and the resources and ensures the availability of materials/ spare parts for the required maintenance works.

  • Participating in development of weekly work schedules

  • Creating purchase order for necessary external resources and components

  • The planner creates tasks lists for repetitive repairs.

  • Continually updating work plans to ensure necessary changes or improvements are incorporated, and efficiencies are captured

  • Forwarding completed “ready to schedule” job packages to the Scheduler

  • Participating in reliability and continuous improvement meetings or actions

  • Ensure the completion of the predictive and preventive maintenance plan

  • These are the main functions of the role but other deliverables may be expected.

Work Order Management: – Protocol

  • “Approved” Backlog

  • System generated PM/Pd.M. work orders.

  • WO status changed from “Approved” to “In Planning.

  • Are Materials Required?

  • Planner reviews task instructions to determine what materials, including consumables and shop consumables are required or may be required.

  • For rebuild able spares, the planner will create a child work order to refurbish the rebuild able spare.

  • Materials in BOM?

  • Planner determines whether required parts are in the bill of material.

  • Initiate BOM update if necessary.

  • Update BOM?

  • Additions and corrections to the BOM discovered in the Planning process should be updated to the BOM system.

  • Inform Reliability Engineering for determination of maximum acceptable delivery time.

  • Requisition Necessary Materials & Services

  • Planner creates material request for MRO function per site procedures.

  • Assemble PM/Pdm Package

  • Planner bundles job package including necessary permits, forms, provided references and job Plan feedback form.

  • MRO verifies all required materials are on site.

  • “Ready” Backlog

  • At this point, all Planning and material procurement is complete.

You will bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Requires working knowledge of chemical plant equipment (pumps, piping, heat exchangers, vessels, instrumentation, etc.) along with a background in maintenance and repair of this equipment in order to effectively plan daily maintenance department actives.

  • This knowledge is gained through 5 or more years’ of industrial experience in a chemical plant, or other related industry, and 3 years working in maintenance.

  • The Maintenance Planner position requires excellent organizational skills for planning all maintenance work along with good verbal communication skills for facilitating cooperation with all other departments.

  • These skills are gained through previous experience as a planner/scheduler or indirectly through planning and scheduling activities as a mechanic.

  • The maintenance planner/scheduler shall have demonstrated his/her ability to effectively organize and manage daily activities, demonstrated problem solving ability and demonstrated willingness to take on more responsibility and difficult assignments.

You will get:

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $75,760 to $94,700 per year.

  • Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range.

  • Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.

  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations.

Additional Information:

  • The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler must also have the ability to read technical drawings.

  • This position requires good computer and written communication skills.

  • Additionally, working knowledge of MS Word, SAP , MS Excel and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems is required.

  • Knowledge of MS Project a plus.

  • Analyses Failures and requests

  • Plans of operations, resources and materials. .

  • Facilitates execution and eliminates as much as possible the execution waste time

  • Develops library of job plans to improve planning efficiency and avoid rework
