NY1523771 Value Stream Manager Job Functions -Oversee, monitor, & establish continuous improvement for the day to day mfg. process: -Ensure a safe working environment for mfg. personnel by active participation in Safety Gemba walks, near miss & workplace accident investigations -Review cost data to streamline processes & lower mfg. costs -Recommend revision of methods, equipment, tooling and/or materials to maintain maximum quality & efficiency in performance of production personnel, while minimizing costs & lead times -Achieve mfg. goals for quality, delivery reliability, order fill time, inventory as 5 of sales, utilization, & efficiency -Ensure compliance with the Company's Quality Management System, & all federal, state, and local government regulations -Share best practices across the company that have been developed locally while adopting best practices from other facilities to insure we standardize processes across facilities at the best practice level -Lead kaizens & train direct reports to lead kaizens to solve business problems -Implement visual management systems to facilitate the order fulfillment process & manage the value stream through the SDB, VLC and DDBs -Grow sales by coordinating with customer service, business development, estimating & sales personnel to: -Participate in root cause analysis of customer returns & complaints -Provide mfg. expertise to a new product development -Maintain the facility in tour-ready condition so customers have confidence in our ability to meet their needs during periodic visits -Drive & maximize production throughput in a manner that meets customer specifications & company profitability goals. -Work with plant leadership to set shift schedules & assign production personnel to meet customer demand -Insure the availability of necessary resources including personnel, tooling, equipment, facilities, programming & raw material -Lead the NCM process to reduce rework & eliminate customer complaints -Work with plant leadership team to eliminate waste throughout the order fulfillment process -Maximize the profitability -Participate in the gross profit review process to eliminate money losing jobs & insure continuous improvement of the estimating process -Develop & implement budget for the assigned value stream

Job Requirements -Ability to communicate effectively & professionally both verbally & in writing -Very good math skills -Excellent analytical & problem solving skills

Education and Experience -Bachelor's degree in technical field & four years of experience in management, or any similar combination of education & experience is required.
-At least two years of experience in a mfg. industry is required.
-Knowledge of Quality Concepts (i.e. SPC, TQM, JIT) & Quality Systems (i.e. ISO 9000, Six Sigma, Zero Defects) is preferred.
