St. Mary's Healthcare Manager- Behavioral Health in Amsterdam, New York
Job Requisition: REQ2892 Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: Days Hours Per Week: 40 hours
Hiring Range: $30.30 -$39.39
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
Develops specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which support the strategic plan and vision.
Assesses quality of patient care and coordinates patient care services.
Oversees performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management.
Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll. Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
Complexity of Work:
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Personal Protective Equipment:
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Licensure / Certification / Registration: • Required Credential(s): • One or more of the following:
• Counselor specializing in Alcohol and Drug Abuse credentialed from the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Counselor specializing in Prevention credentialed from the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Social Worker credentialed from the New York Board of Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the New York Board of Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Counselor specializing in Mental Health credentialed from the New York Board of Mental Health Practitioners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Psychologist credentialed from the New York Board of Psychology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required
