The Procurement Senior Specialist is responsible for driving procurement strategy across for CBRE GWS in Netherlands. This role will work alongside Regional Procurement Director and Procurement Director for Netherlands and lead delivery of procurement platform initiatives within the business in Netherlands.

In our FM delivery model, a significant portion of work is subcontracted, including janitorial services, landscaping and snow removal, food services and catering, waste removal, and others. The candidate will have working knowledge of facility management products and services including maintenance, janitorial, grounds, mail room services, food services, waste management, etc., have an experience in category management, SRM, SPM and working with P2P and e-procurement platforms. They will be a good listener and collaborator who can be flexible in their approach and able priorities their workload. Importantly, the successful individual will also be a strong writer, good cost analyst, and capable presenter who can articulate their proposition to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for delivering all procurement platform initiatives for total spend of over 100M

  • Build effective relationships with sourcing partners that enable the delivery of the required sourcing services to the business in a cost effective and qualitative manner.

  • Closely collaborate and support CBRE GWS client accounts in governance and delivering of their objectives

  • Build internal customer satisfaction through feedback and corrective action mechanisms.

  • Co-ordinate the implementation of the Company Corporate Sourcing and Supply Chain Strategy within Operations accounts - this includes promoting the use of Preferred Suppliers to reduce supplier base and leverage spend, ensuring adherence to the Company “integrity” and SOX requirements and generating savings across all services lines

  • Promote performance management, innovation and continuous improvement of contracts and discuss how the success of supplier improvements can be replicated to other CBRE contracts for mutual benefit.

  • Driving/supporting implementation of new procurement systems in the organization.

  • Supporting new client transitions to deliver smooth and successful opening of the account.

  • Act as the subject matter expert for all areas relating to sourcing

  • Work with cross functional teams, supplier relationships, technology, and organisational capabilities to successfully achieve programme objectives procurement

  • Reporting in progress on supply chain KPI’s on the accounts

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Must have a good understanding of procurement and facility management services and supplies. Min. 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.

Fluent in English and Dutch language.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills. You are ambitious and would you like to grow with an organization that is growing and developing fast.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of database reporting and platform manipulation. Familiarity with use of contracts management tools and platforms.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.

  • Salary up to €4.800 - €6.000 per month (depending on knowledge and experience).
