In your new role as a VAT Analyst, you will carry out all tasks relating to VAT compliance, ensuring all returns are filed on time. The team is a highly motivated team who are very tech inspired, as part of your role you will continuously critically assess the VAT compliance process, always striving to reduce manual effort and streamline the VAT reporting process.

Is this you?

You have Experience You have at least 2 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role, which is responsible for VAT compliance and ideally within an international environment.

You speak Fluent English A key part of this role will be to work with international stakeholders across the world. Knowing one or more additional languages is a plus.

You love a Challenge A self-starter who enjoys problem solving and creating innovative solutions. You can organise and direct diverse activities in a changing environment, often under time pressure.

You Know what you are Doing You have a degree in a tax, VAT or an associated field. A certificate in accounting would be advantageous.

You Build Relationships You are a team player that works closely with your team members to achieve shared goals.

You do the Right Thing You have a high level of integrity, responsibility, discipline, and attention to detail. You understand the importance of keeping tabs of what is always going on in your goals/projects.

You are a Strategic Thinker You enjoy interpreting data or trends from multiple sources and formats and create a comprehensive scientific review, including in depth statistical analyses, risk management cross-check and descriptive analyses, following complex and rigorous methodologies.

What will you do at Stryker?

• Management of a VAT portfolio – preparing and filing all VAT returns for your designated registrations on time: VAT returns, real time reporting, intrastat, ESLs and any other local requirements.

• Perform VAT:GL reconciliations avoiding aged reconciling items.

• Dealing with queries from the business and tax authorities as and when they arise.

• You will seek to initiate process improvements; establish cross-functional teamwork, assist in streamlining the VAT process.

• You will assist in implementing defined tax requirements and solutions within the VAT Compliance process.

• You will assist with projects regarding new business and integrations.
