THE OPPORTUNITY

Step into the role of S&OP and Demand Manager within our ROPU and become the driving force behind our seamless operations. You’ll build strong relationships with the internal team’s perfect balance between demand and supply. Your focus will be on guaranteeing product availability to fulfill the market demand for the short, medium, and long term, while at the same time making sure our operational costs targets are met.

You’ll oversee demand management and supply replenishment across multiple countries, ensuring timely and full supply of diverse SKUs. Leading local S&OP meetings, you’ll coordinate with sales, marketing, and finance to optimize resources and ensure supply availability. At the regional level, you’ll support strategic decisions, aligning local and regional performance.

This position is based in Amsterdam and reports directly to the Head of S&OP and Demand Management.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Demand Planning and Supply Replenishment: Prepare, plan, and execute demand planning and supply replenishment for assigned SKUs and businesses to ensure compliant product supply meets market demand and avoids inventory destruction.

Inventory Management: Ensure adequate inventory levels at the OPU 3PL/4PL, aligning with demand planning variables such as safety stocks, DOIf targets, EOQ/EOC adherence, and version changes.

Master Data Accuracy and maintenance: Ensure the correctness of demand planning master data in systems or monitor in case of VMI, including min/max inventory levels and availability of forecast files. Maintain SKU replenishment master data, particularly GRP planning parameters, GBS MDM, and BXP/SLCI.

• Act as the single contact point for manufacturing sites, CMOs, Global SNPM, and Global CSCM.

Supply Coordination and Bottleneck Management: Coordinate supply issues and conduct bottleneck management measures defined at the global level.

Inventory Allocation: Drive inventory allocation decisions with MIDI business functions and escalate to Global Supply to ensure MIDI optimization.

S&OP Meetings: Prepare, lead, execute, and document the S&OP meetings for all OPU business segments. Coordinate demand consensus via S&OP meetings, including KPI preparation and monitoring.

Reporting and Target Setting: Report S&OP outcomes and KPI performance to MIDIc. Conduct the annual S&OP target setting process with the business.

Replenishment Process Management: Manage the replenishment process in line with the provided demand forecast. Proactively align JDA/APO with global CSCM contacts.

Logistics Preparation and Execution: Ensure logistics preparation and execution for launches and change implementations to ensure on-time supply availability at the OPU 3PL/4PL.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, business administration, or economics, with a specialization in logistics/supply chain management.

• At least three years of experience in SCM, preferably within demand/replenishment planning in the pharmaceutical, OTC, or FMCG industries. APICS certification is preferred.

• Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of SAP APO and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel for analytics and mass data processing.

• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are a must. You should have proven expertise in SCM, sourcing and supply processes, and supply strategy development and implementation.

• Teamwork and Customer Focus: Ability to work effectively in a team, maintaining a strong focus on both customer and supplier needs.

• Crisis Management: Demonstrated skills in managing crises and delivering results under uncertain and high-pressure business conditions.

• Financial Acumen: Knowledge of finance and controlling concepts, such as P&L and COGS.

• Project Management: Strong project management and process leadership skills to steer complex, cross-functional, and strategic initiatives.

• Behavioral Traits: Accountable, agile, and intrapreneurial behavior.

• Language Proficiency: Proficient in English.
