Sales Manager - Benelux

The Sales Manager - Benelux will be responsible for leading the Iron Mountain Sales Team for corporate customers to achieve sector revenue targets and improve customer retention. This includes the leadership, management, and development of the sales team to meet set targets.

This role will be working hybrid between our Amsterdam location and home based. Candidates will need to be fluent in both Dutch and English.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve in-year budget growth for Regional bookings and Revenue.

  • Drive and coach account planning development

  • Increase customer retention

  • Decrease dilution, PW

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of pipeline reporting, closing plan.

  • Manage and own relationships with enterprise customers : develop broader c-level relationships

  • Drive sales performance through leadership and management of the team, focusing on productivity, individual performance, and teamwork

  • Collaborate with diverse teams (marketing, customer service, presales, operations, Finance, HR, etc.) to achieve revenue and booking targets

  • Manage cost of sales to achieve ebitda target.

  • Manage margin imperatives and achieve targets through sales opportunities review board process.

  • Develop a 3-5 year business plan to aggressively grow revenue and bookings from enterprise customers, including pricing strategy and margin targets.

  • Advocate for innovations and investments to better serve the needs of the Iron Mountain enterprise customer base

  • Create a customer experience strategy to deliver a competitive advantage and sustain profitability

  • Provide leadership in establishing a customer-focused culture by implementing and managing initiatives and tools that drive customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention in an efficient and standardized approach

  • Drive and influence future service roadmaps within customer experience

  • Play a senior advisory role to business leaders, evaluating product performance to help proactively develop business opportunities

  • Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development, or other long-term proposals)

  • Understand market trends and information in the sector, identify the impact on customers, and share internally for further analysis

  • Define pricing strategy to win deals

  • Define partnership ecosystem to win and develop focused sales joint strategy with incremental business results ( local and global)

Key Skills, Requirements, and Competencies:

  • Full driving license

  • Appropriate management courses and qualifications

  • Secondary education and/or higher education degree (or equivalent experience)

  • Skills:

  • Ability to work well and at pace under pressure while delivering results to exacting deadlines

  • Proven ability to build successful, long-term senior-level customer relationships

  • Ability to build and develop successful long-term relationships with key internal stakeholders, including operational management, sales, and other teams and departments

  • Performance coaching in a sales context

  • Ability to develop and maintain the sales team's product and industry-specific knowledge

  • Energetic, dynamic, tenacious, resilient

  • Strong commercial acumen

  • Strong communication and influencing skills at a senior level

  • Experience:

  • Proven sales management experience within a highly competitive commercial environment

  • Industry exposure to Saas, BPO, ECM, Document Management, Information Governance would be much preferred

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively within a multicultural environment and with all levels, internally and externally

  • Proven experience of developing detailed customer/sector knowledge through networking and professional association membership

  • Proven experience in effective negotiation and complex problem-solving
