Join Sanofi as Public Affairs Key Market Lead. In this role you will be responsible to lead and coordinate Public Affairs activities in the Key Markets (Japan, France, Germany, UK & Ireland, Iberia, Italy, and Northern Europe MCO) by collaborating closely with the Heads of Key Markets for Specialty Care, Vaccines and General Medicines

Our Team:

Public Affairs is part of the Corporate Affairs organization and oversees Sanofi’s external engagements with key actors in the healthcare system and builds and develops Sanofi’s reputation in support of our Play to Win strategy. 

The team ensures we drive “One Sanofi Voice” on corporate and business topics, with key external stakeholders of the healthcare space (in particular, patient organizations, healthcare professionals, scientific committees, political stakeholders, governments, and international organizations)).

Corporate Affairs also has the ambition to lead a sustainable business model in the biopharma industry, embedding and fully integrating sustainability into Sanofi’s strategy and operations. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Define the Sanofi external agenda and key priorities for key markets in collaboration with regional Business Unit heads and Corporate Affairs functions.  

  • Ensure alignment of multi country organization/country plans with global Corporate Affairs plan and track their performance

  • Oversee and manage senior management engagement (mainly Executive Committee & Regional Heads) in collaboration with Key Markets Country leads and Heads of P>

  • Prioritize overall product launch shaping efforts and mobilize global resources/support to support local launches (working closely with Business Unit Public affairs, Global Public Policy or Patient Engagement teams)

  • Define new strategies and support countries in shaping efforts (tender shaping, pricing reforms, budget prioritization, public policies) through best practice sharing, country specific engagement plans

  • Accelerate and expand access to Sanofi assets – working with the countries to develop new funding opportunities

  • Provide strategic insight to General Medicines, Specialty Care and Vaccines regional Heads of opportunities where Corporate Affairs can add value and where Corporate affairs resources need to be mobilized (including Communications)

  • Staff EFPIA Markets Working group with Regional Head

  • Ensure staffing, induction and development of Corporate Affairs community

About you

  • Track record in balancing corporate interests with public opinion to achieve long-term business goals

  • Ability to lead projects and initiatives and execute successfully in a complex multicultural and international environment, working with multiple internal and external stakeholders Proven track record of successfully executing complex projects and initiatives, on time, within budget, with measurement of results

  • Be able to demonstrate ability to be a good team player and engage with a wide variety of stakeholders from different functions

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally

  • Strong leadership competencies and transversal managerial capabilities across multiple continents

  • Oral and written fluency in English. French is a plus
