Job Summary Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) administers and provides anesthesia-related care to patients before, during, and after surgery.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Choose from 8 or 10 hour shifts. Surgeries start at 7:00am. No evenings, no weekends, no Holidays, no on-call

The original location on Kensington Avenue in Buffalo had one (1) operating room; today the BSC has expanded to two facilities with eight (8) operating rooms and seven (7) procedure rooms.

Qualifications

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing or relevant undergraduate degree

  • Current and valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • Current and valid NYS Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification

  • 2+ years experience anesthesia care in an acute setting experience preferred

  • National Provider Identified (NPI) and Taxonomy code required at time of hire

    Physical Demands

  • Manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to provide patient care and operate equipment

  • Corrected vision and hearing within normal range to observe and communicate with patients, providers, and staff

  • Position requires full range of body motion including ability to position and move patients

  • Extensive standing and walking

  • Frequent reaching, stooping, squatting, bending, kneeling, and crouching

  • Occasional lifting and carrying carry items weighing 10 pounds or more

  • Occasional exertion of 25lbs or more of force

  • Work environment may involve some exposure to hazards/physical risk
