Job Description:

The Department of Interior Design in the College of Design at Iowa State University (ISU) is seeking applicants for full-time or part-time non-tenure-eligible positions in the area of Interior Design Education & Practice.

The department seeks candidates who have either academic or professional experience in Interior Design Studio education. The position will entail teaching in either the Bachelor or Master of Interior Design, CIDA accredited programs.

A recognized leader in design education, Iowa State University’s College of Design offers a comprehensive mix of accredited and nationally ranked degree programs. The college educates students to become successful designers, planners, artists, and scholars who enhance human experience and improve the natural, social, and built environment.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Teaching professor positions: Master's degreeORAssistant Professor of Practice: Bachelor's degree + 5 years of relevant industry experience

Associate Professor of Practice: Bachelor's degree + 10 years of relevant industry experience OR five years of academic experience beyond the requirements for assistant professor of practice

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in the following curriculum areas: universal design; human factors; professional procedures and practice; materials & specifications; digital fabrication. • Professional NCIDQ License in the US or abroad
