Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Amelia, Ohio

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity in the financial services industry, based in AMELIA, Ohio, United States. The role entails working as an Accounts Payable Specialist, responsible for processing and managing various accounts payable transactions and maintaining compliance with internal controls.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the receipt and processing of all vendor regular, Epay, intercompany, and Concur accounts payable invoices acquired via requisitions or check requests.

• Respond to and resolve business partner inquiries.

• Conduct ad-hoc analytics and research as required.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures.

• Use Microsoft Excel effectively, including the use of macros, pivot tables, and other advanced functions.

• Leverage accounting knowledge and experience with ledger transactions, reconciliations, and sub-ledger functions across various transaction streams, including payables.

• Utilize various Accounting Software Systems including Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Microsoft Excel, and SAP.

• Perform check processing, data entry, invoice entry, and statement reconciliations.

• Manage discrepancies in accounts payable (AP) and accounting functions.

• Use Concur software for managing invoices. Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or related financial role

• Proficiency in accounting software systems

• Experience in check processing and data entry

• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies

• Proficiency in SAP software

• Experience with invoice entry and statement reconciliations

• Knowledge of Concur expense management system

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
