General Motors Senior Logistics Analyst in Alvear, Argentina

Job Description

Hybrid: This position requires an employee to be on site 3 times per week.

Senior Logistics Analyst

The position is primarily responsible for supporting the management of relationships with logistics providers and service providers. You will be responsible for developing and executing data analytics for the area, including data engineering, dashboard development, KPIs, and reports that provide control and visualization of key processes for operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing new systems, conducting tests, identifying opportunities, and streamlining processes

What you will do/Responsibilities:

• Data integration (search for simplification)

• Cleaning and standardization.

• Generation of demand forecasts (forecast).

• Creation and control of management indicators, KPIs, transit times, routing, etc.) and regular adjustments according to business needs.

• Benchmarking (search for efficiency with other business units)

• Identification, design and implementation of automated tools and solutions for logistics processes.

o Development, maintenance and optimization of dashboards and reports to track and monitor key logistics performance indicators

o Creation of reports (Daily/Weekly/Monthly)

o Process automation

• Use of advanced BI tools to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

• Creation and analysis of scenarios.

• Support for reports from the different logistics functions.

• Support the implementation and maintenance of internal logistics systems.

• Implementation of tools and software (Freightverify, SIGA, etc.).

• Working with logistics/IT operators to ensure that new systems are aligned with business objectives and user requirements.

• Searching for new tools, technologies and methodologies to improve reporting capabilities and process efficiency.

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Industrial/Mechanical Engineer, Logistics, Foreign Trade or related Careers.

  • +2 years of previous experience in similar positions.

  • Microsoft Office: advanced level. Experience in database management and reporting/data analytics is required.

  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools (PowerBI, Tableu or related).

  • English: intermediate level.

  • Availability to work in Alvear, Santa Fe, Argentina in a hybrid regime (3 times per week in person).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Portuguese (desirable).
