Job Description

Our client is looking for a self-motivated, highly experienced Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to join their applications team to help stand up and maintain and optimize the infrastructure. The DBA is responsible for tasks such as development of best practices and repeatable procedures for deploying databases, day-to-day operational activities including break/fix, capacity management, backup and recovery, database replication setup/management and ongoing database change reviews. The team also builds and maintains large-scale and very high transaction SQL Server databases on Windows Server platforms. This individual will also work in tandem with the other teams, preparing documentations and specifications as required. This will be a 100% remote opportunity; the individual will need to will sit in the UK.

Skills and Requirements

Strong proficiency in SQL Server database management and administration including with large scale SQL Server databases.

 Hands on experience implementing and maintaining:

• Always On Availability Groups

• SQL Server encryption models

• Clustering

• Fail over testing

• Stand up test systems and maintain production null
