Robert Half is looking for a Director of Finance to join our client! As part of the management team, the director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. This may be the role for you if you are an experienced VP/Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company.

What you get to do every single day

• Overseeing the development of financial models for budgeting and forecasting

• Analyzing current financial performance against historical data and forecasts

• Identifying trends and making recommendations for financial optimization

• Managing the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports

• Presenting financial data and strategies to senior management and board members

• Leading the annual budgeting process, including capital expenditure planning

• Advising on long-term business and financial planning

• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget

• Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions

• Decide on benchmarks for comparing the operating and financial performance

• Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures

• Take the lead on all financial and accounting operations

• Oversee insurance and risk management

• Direct all financial reporting preparation

• Oversee the preparation of financial forecasts and outlooks

• Develop five-year business plans with department managers

• Hire and train employees, especially finance staff, and manage retention

• Comply with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements

• Supervise financial planning and budget management functions

• Analyze and monitor forecasting and budgeting models

• Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives

  Requirements

• Experience with higher level functionality in Microsoft Excel

• Expert understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• 10+ years of accounting and finance experience

• MBA or CPA is plus

• Knowledge of financial and accounting reporting systems

• Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
