Description

We are seeking an Accounting Manager for a role in north Atlanta. This role provides an excellent opportunity to utilize and enhance your skills in accounting functions, billing functions, account reconciliation, ASC 842, fixed asset accounting, capital assets, and month-end close activities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes

• Manage and supervise accounting department employees, responsible for day-to-day supervision and leadership

• Maintain and oversee all accounting procedures and processes

• Use and create systems and procedures to ensure that the accounting, regulatory processes follow company policies, regulations, and GAAP guidelines

• Examine financial data and reports and make appropriate translations to advise senior management on profit maximization

• Utilize knowledge of Lease Query and Sage 100 / Power BI for managing accounting functions

• Handle ASC 842, Fixed Assets, Cap Ex, Other General Accounting, GL Rec’s, Month End closing tasks

• Display positive attitude while engaging with superiors, peers and subordinates

• Participate in virtual meetings as part of the interview process

Requirements

• Proficient in Accounting Functions

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation

• Familiarity with Sage software

• Knowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting standards

• Experience in Fixed Asset Accounting

• Understanding of Capital Assets

• Proficient in performing Month-end Close Activities
