Ministry Support (Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries) Scheduler in Allentown, Pennsylvania

Category/Shift/Hours per 2 week pay period: Full-Time / Day Shift / 80 hours per pay period

Luther Crest, A Diakon Lutheran Senior Living Community --- Located in Allentown with easy access to Route 78, Route 22 and Route 476. Luther Crest is a large Continuing Care Retirement Community with a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center, along with a personal care community. Luther Crest is seeking skilled and caring individuals to be part of Diakon's Many Hands One Heart team. Employees are able to use Luther Crest's state-of-the-art Wellness Center including a fitness center, spa, and indoor heated Olympic-size pool. 

General Responsibilities:

  • Schedules, coordinates, distributes and provides continuous updating of nursing departments staff schedules within facility- specific parameters of staffing requirements.
  • Enters, reviews, and maintains time and attendance records/payroll information; reviews with supervisor for approval prior to submitting to Payroll Department.
  • Assists with filling vacancies due to call-offs.  

Education/Training: Graduate of an approved school of nursing preferred; certified nursing assistant, or experience as a personal care aide/resident aide.  High school diploma, GED, or equivalent verbal and numerical skills to read, write, and orally communicate with associate workers and residents with English as the essential language and understand job related information.

 

Experience: A minimum of two (2) year of experience preferred.

 

ADA: Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, reach, push, and pull items weighing up to 25 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.
