St. Luke's University Health Network Resource Coordinator, RN or CST - Surgical Services in Allentown, Pennsylvania

The OR Clinical Resource Coordinator works with charge nurses and inventory control personnel to support daily procurement of materials/equipment for the clinical areas.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for ordering all special request supplies and equipment for surgery.

  • Responsible for all issues, returns and credits related to supplies and equipment.

  • Coordinates in services for new products and equipment working with Education Department and/or applicable department.

  • Assists with recalls, evaluations and product conversions.

  • Keeps abreast of new technologies, products and equipment.

  • Review of supply expense utilization trends working with St. Luke’s managers and medical staff to support both clinical and financial goals.

  • Communicates changes in supplies and equipment to applicable staff to ensure the development/revisions of applicable policies and procedures.

    PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Standing for up to 4 hours per day; up to 1 hour at a time. Walking for up to 4 hours per day; 1 hour at a time. Sitting for up to 8 hours per day; 4 hours at a time. Frequently uses fingers for data entry, etc. Frequently uses hands for filing, telephone and loading printers with paper. Uses upper extremities to lift up to 30 lbs. Stoops, bends or reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal and phone conversations. Seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, peripheral vision and vision monotony.

EDUCATION:

Registered Nurse, LPN or Surgery Technician Preferred. Healthcare Technician with 5 plus years experience and a current registry may be substituted.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Three to five years experience in clinical hospital or healthcare setting.
