Millipore Quality Control Inspector in Allentown, Pennsylvania

Your Role:

In this position, detail-oriented candidates will be responsible for Quality Control incoming inspection of finished good products from various contracted manufacturers. Post inspection processing will include releasing products through inventory software Oracle and/or SAP and filing associated quality records.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting incoming visual inspections of finished good products in accordance with documented specifications and inspection cards
  • Assist in processing vendor's documentation (certificates of analysis) to the website for finished good product releases
  • Releasing finished good products in Oracle and/or SAP
  • Initial evaluation of customer returned products to approved purchase specifications and drawings
  • Support inventory evaluation requests and rework product, as needed
  • Assisting QA/QC/RA teams with the ongoing training of quality procedures, techniques and concepts in accordance with the MilliporeSigma Quality Systems
  • Working with in-house personnel and contract manufacturers to resolve quality issues through techniques and evaluation criteria for processes and products
  • Periodic cleaning and maintenance of QC Inspection area to ensure desks, workstations and room remain clean, organized and presentable for planned/unplanned tours, visits and audits; this includes developing and maintaining quality record filing system for ease of identification and retrieval. Periodic preparation, storage and retrieval of quality records will be necessary
  • Additional responsibilities may include calibration management, Dock-to-Stock (DTS) periodic reviews, and multi-site QC Hold release support
  • Other duties as assigned
  • In this position, candidates will be responsible for inspecting incoming finished good products from various contracted manufacturers and processing/releasing products through inventory software Oracle and/or SAP
  • Interact in a positive and effective manner with other company departments to solve problems and create more effective processes and procedures

  • Lifting 25 lbs
  • Sit at a computer for long periods of time (up to 3 hours)

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

 

 

  • 1+ years of experience in a QC Inspection role at a chemical, medical device, or pharmaceutical company
  • Experience with Oracle and/or SAP (particularly the Quality Module) and Microsoft (Word, Exel and Outlook)
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, cGMP, QSR and Responsible Care
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), and good mathematic skills
  • Experience in a QC Inspection role
