Responsibilities Position Summary:

Provide Engineering related project work toward the design, development, installation, startup, validation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes, and production equipment. Provide skills within the areas of electrical/mechanical/manufacturing engineering.

  • Strong knowledge with Excel software.
  • Mini-Tab.
  • QC/Metrology background / visual inspections.
  • CPK/SPC knowledge.
  • AutoCAD and SolidWorks knowledge.
  • Doe/Validation experience. Responsibilities: Essential Duties
  • Preparation of detailed specifications and protocols for the development, testing, and qualification of production equipment and manufacturing processes.
  • Design intricate parts, fixtures, control system layouts, machine logic code and/or test setups as directed by Supervisor.
  • Assemble and repair process related prototypes, production equipment and/or testing devices.
  • Research, develop, and prepare specifications for improvements to existing and/or new manufacturing processes, production equipment, and manufacturing related technology.
  • Support projects by contributing as a team member to the development of project schedules, costs, preparing status reports, attending team meetings, and communicating issues and progress to team and management.
  • Create and prepare necessary documentation for project inititalization, execution, and completion including detailed mechanical schematics, electrical schematics, control system logic and associated manufacturing/process literature.
  • Update Engineers on the status of activities and track specific project time consumption.
  • Prepare and maintain ISO compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate project activities with other departments or outside vendors.
  • Administer Electro/Mechanical/Manufacturing engineering projects under the direction of an Engineer.
  • Use computer to interrogate, formulate, input information, and/or analyze data and related information as part of an engineering project.
  • Maintain laboratory notebook per GMP requirements.
  • Coordinate activities of all levels of subordinate Engineering Aides/Technicians and/or Craftpersons in support of work assignments.
  • Prepare and present technical investigative reports to Engineers, Supervisors, and Managers.
  • Debug and install equipment as required.
  • Moderate degree of both internal and external personnel interfaces. Expertise: Knowledge & Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, custome s, and the general public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Target Based Range $56,928 - $68,320 Qualifications Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc Required: * Completion of a 2 year Electro/Mechanical technologies program and/or drafting courses equivalent to a 2 year vocational school program and 4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of 8 years of education and experience. Desired: * N/A
