General Summary(What is done and why)

The District Manager is responsible for the leadership and oversight of branches in their district. Provides leadership and support to the branch managers and coaching and development of staff as it relates to sales, service and operations. In addition, responsible for maintaining and growing new consumer and business members, quality business deposit accounts and lending expertise through financial counseling and product awareness. To support and be involved with community and Credit Union activities to ensure the achievement of the region and corporate goals. 

 

Essential Functions, in Priority Order(Majority of duties, but not meant to be all inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned as necessary)

  • Provide leadership and supervision to the Branch Managers that includes staffing, training, evaluating performance, performance management, daily operations, staff scheduling, problem solving and decision making that enable the aligned district branches to function efficiently and provide quality member service.Time: 50%

  • Responsible for the performance of the aligned District branches.  Maintain and grow sales and member satisfaction through regular coaching and training of branch management staff, which results in improved sales performance, service skills, product knowledge, and policy and procedure competencies. Time: 20%

  • Responsible for Business Development to promote Corporate Member engagement, membership, deposit, and loan growth, and positive public relations.  Partnering with Branch Partners to maximize new member relationships and identify additional opportunities for loans and deposits.Time: 15%

  • Responsible for ensuring sound operations, adherence to policies and procedures, rules and regulations, building security, responding to member complaints, concerns, suggestions or compliments and communicating and/or distributing information to branch management and/or the corporate office.  Fulfills all reporting requirements and communicates relevant information. Additional duties as assigned.Time: 15%

Qualifications

Education(Minimum education required to perform the duties of this position)

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or two years of related work experience required.

     

    Experience(Minimum experience required to perform the duties of this position)

    In additionto the education requirement:

  • Five years financial services branch management experience required.

  • NMLS registration required.

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities(Minimum technical and communication skill levels and licenses/certificates normally required to perform the duties of this position)

    Physical Demands(Physical effort generally associated with this position)

    Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, but most work is done from a seated position.  There is potential for eyestrain from reading detailed reports and computer screen.  Deadlines, workloads and pressure to achieve goals may cause increased stress levels.

     

    Working Conditions(Typical working conditions associated with this type of work and environmental hazards, if any, that may be encountered in performing the duties of this position)

    Internal- Work is normally performed in climate-controlled office environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc).  No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of duties. Length of day is unpredictable; long hours may be required to accommodate deadlines or special meetings.

External - Some travel in market and between branches is required; however, information on environmental conditions is not available.
