Reimagine What's Possible

As a Global Contract Accountant, you'll be part of a team of specialists who are responsible for the administration and accounting activities for tonnage gas contracts worldwide, accounting for over 50% of AP's revenue. You'll work collaboratively with other functions and be able to enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work environment.

Job Duties Read and collaborate with Commercial, Operations, and Energy teams on contract intent/interpretation Initiate contract setup in SAP to facilitate billing Perform monthly close responsibilities for assigned contracts/operating facilities, which includes invoicing customers and recording related accounting entries Maintain strong relationships with global Commercial, Operations, and Financial Analyst teams to ensure that revenue and costs are properly stated, and our customers are invoiced properly Plan, implement, and lead efforts to resolve cross-functional process issues and identify improvement opportunities Communicate with financial analysts to coordinate monthly forecast and actual business results development Perform accounting activities for ASC 842 Leases Prepare required Quarterly/Annual financial schedules to support disclosure requirements Reconcile account balances to ensure appropriate Balance Sheet presentation Perform control procedures consistent with Sarbanes/Oxley (SOX) requirements

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required Minimum of 5 years accounting experience, with CPA or Big 4 experience a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate cross-functionally Strong process focus, with emphasis on technology, to continuously drive improvement and reduce risk Strong critical reading, interpersonal, teamwork, influencing and problem-solving skills Experience in reading and interpreting contract terms and conditions preferred Prior experience working in a multi-functional team environment a plus
