Aerotek Commercial Electrician in Allentown, Pennsylvania

HIRING FOR COMMERICAL ELECTRICIANS IN ALLENTOWN

Position: Commercial Electrician

Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm, start and end times may vary pending job sites + Saturday and OT when needed

Job Sites: Majority of the work will be commercial work in the Lehigh Valley, may go down south to Norristown or up towards Hazleton. but majority of the work will be in the valley.

Pay Rate: $22-$32/hr

Job Description: candidates will be performing various phases of commercial work from new construction to fit-outs. They may be asked to perform the following and other tasks as well:

  • rough-in and finished work

  • trenching and site work

  • conduit bending - ask how big of pipe they're comfortable bending

  • running and pulling wires - ask what type of wires/cables they're used to working with

  • installation of electrical systems - panels, switch gears, switches, receptacles, and various other electrical fixtures

  • blueprint reading is a big plus

  • safety is HUGE, ask if they have their OSHA-10, NOT a disqualifier but good to have

  • must have their own tools - basic hand and power tools (cordless), lineman's, side cutters, channel locks, needle nose, strippers, flashlight, volt tick or multi meter, roto-splits, tape measure, key hole saw, and utility knife...need to have all of these or at least 75% of them, if they have been an electrician and doesn't have this...this is a HUGE red flag. Or must be willing to get the tools list.

-must have their own PPE - Hard hat, high viz shirts/vest, safety glasses and STEEL TOES

Typical Day: Tool box meeting to determine assignments. proceed to complete tasks independently or as a team until the end of the day.
