Cardiovascular Technician (CV Tech) - Full Time
Fast-paced, high volume Environmental department is looking for top skilled technicians . Is that you?
Work location: Texas Health Allen, 05 Central Expwy North, TX 75013
Work hours: Full Time, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM Monday – Friday with rotating days off, call shifts required.
Here’s What You Need
Associate’s Degree, applied science required or
Completion of accredited program or cardiovascular technology required or
High School Diploma plus 2 years work experience in invasive cardiology required.
1-year cardiovascular experience preferred.
2 years cardiovascular experience required with high school diploma.
Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology experience highly preferred1 year related experience preferred
ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologist upon hire required or
RCIS – Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist upon hire required or
RCES – Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist upon hire required or
CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist, if ARRT, upon hire required and
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
What You Will Do
Assesses and recognizes the patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions.
Administers contrast media and other medications in accordance with medication administration guidelines.
Prepares room for examination (i.e., suction, oxygen, supplies).
Check’s physician orders and exam requisitions using time out procedures.
Greets and acknowledges patients using two forms of ID.
Obtains patient history.
Handles patients with IVs, oxygen, chest tubes or other devices and monitors patients during imaging.
Processes patient information displays proper phone etiquette and transports patients as needed.
