Cardiovascular Technician (CV Tech) - Full Time

Fast-paced, high volume Environmental department is looking for top skilled technicians . Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Allen, 05 Central Expwy North, TX 75013

Work hours: Full Time, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM Monday – Friday with rotating days off, call shifts required.

Here’s What You Need

• Associate’s Degree, applied science required or

• Completion of accredited program or cardiovascular technology required or

• High School Diploma plus 2 years work experience in invasive cardiology required.

• 1-year cardiovascular experience preferred.

• 2 years cardiovascular experience required with high school diploma.

• Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology experience highly preferred1 year related experience preferred

• ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologist upon hire required or

• RCIS – Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist upon hire required or

• RCES – Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist upon hire required or

• CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist, if ARRT, upon hire required and

• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.

What You Will Do

• Assesses and recognizes the patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions.

• Administers contrast media and other medications in accordance with medication administration guidelines.

• Prepares room for examination (i.e., suction, oxygen, supplies).

• Check’s physician orders and exam requisitions using time out procedures.

• Greets and acknowledges patients using two forms of ID.

• Obtains patient history.

• Handles patients with IVs, oxygen, chest tubes or other devices and monitors patients during imaging.

• Processes patient information displays proper phone etiquette and transports patients as needed.
