Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Technical Security Systems Application Engineer to join our team! In this role you will provide Tier 3 engineering support to the Department of State's overseas mission, supporting over 260 facilities worldwide.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Research, develop, and implement new system hardware and software integrations/upgrades while applying security best practices

• Recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies to help expand, upgrade, and increase efficiencies to the current environment

• Create and maintain technical instructions, operating procedures

• Monitor and troubleshoot application functionalityand performance

• Investigate user performance and work to improve user experience

• Respond to support requests and assist users with Tier 3 incident resolution

• Identify, analyze, and resolve system incidents with both short-term workarounds and long-term solutions

• Provide remote end user support

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• An understanding of SQL and SQL queries

• Networking (Layer 2/3 routing/switching, firewalls/security policies)

• PKI / FICAM CSEIP - (Certified System Engineer ICAM PACS) Certification Desired

• Automated Access Control Systems

• Intrusion Detection Systems

• Technical writing

• Linux experience

• Basic knowledge/understanding of computer programming

Salary Range:

$104,200.00 - $182,400.00
