MORE ABOUT THE SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST POSITION:
CareerStaff Unlimited partners with companies around the country to raise the bar in healthcare by setting new standards for quality care and personalized service. Responsibilities for this Speech Language Pathologist opportunity include, but are not limited to:
Conduct comprehensive bedside swallow evaluations for patients at risk of dysphagia
Assess oral motor function, swallow reflexes, and coordination to determine the safest diet consistency and feeding strategies
Develop and implement individualized dysphagia treatment plans based on assessment findings
Perform cognitive assessments to evaluate memory, attention, executive function, and other cognitive domains
Design and implement cognitive-communication interventions to address deficits identified in the cognitive assessment
Conduct comprehensive aphasia evaluations to assess language comprehension, expression, reading, and writing abilities
Develop and implement targeted aphasia treatment plans to improve communication skills
Adhere to state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures related to speech-language pathology services
JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST:
Successful completion of the National Certification Examination
Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
1 year of verifiable, supervised professional experience within the last 3 years
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association
Active SLP license in GA
BLS issued through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Must be FEES certified
Must be eligible to work in the United States
