Director of Finance

A mid-size firm located in Arlington, VA seeks a Director of Finance to manage the financial activities and the daily operations of the accounting department of the firm.

location: Alexandria, Virginia

salary: $130,000 - 160,000 per year

work hours: 9 to 5

education: Bachelor's degree

experience: 5 Years

responsibilities:

· Oversees billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, trust and payroll.

· Trouble shoots incorrect transactions being processed through the accounting

system.

· Completes month end closing & balancing.

· Completes monthly bank reconciliations and related journal entries.

· Assists with cash management and other banking related items.

· Creates and manages annual revenue and expense budgets

· Manages financial reporting data/software. Creates and distributes reports on a monthly,annual, and ad hoc basis.

· Oversees benefits billing and 401k pension plan

· Assists with partner compensation calculations, reporting and K-1's

qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree is required; CPA or MBA preferred

· 5+ years of accounting or auditing experience

· Strong systems and technical skills required

The position works on a hybrid work schedule.

Salary is $130,000 - 160,000
