Koniag Professional Services, a Koniag Government Services company , is seeking a Construction Project Manager with a Top- Secret clearance to support KPS and our government customer in Alexandria, VA. This is an onsite hybrid opportunity.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.

  • Provide estimates for new work and evaluate subcontractor estimates.

  • Supervise and coordinate multiple subcontractors.

  • Coordinate with government personnel.

  • Provide regular reports on status and issues associated with the project.

  • Create and update construction schedules.

  • Ensure compliance with safety plans.

  • Inspect work for compliance with plans and specifications.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Construction Managers shall possess a bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: a degree in engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited university; a degree in construction management from an ABET or Accreditation for Construction Education (ACCE) accredited university; or a degree in architecture from a National Architectural.

  • Accrediting Board (NAAB) accredited university. A Professional Engineer's License in the U.S and its territories may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

  • 5+ years technical and practical knowledge and experience as a Construction Manager, Project Manager, or Project Controls Manager.

  • Top Secret clearance required.

  • Current certification of successful completion of the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)/Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) course.

  • A record of completion for the Course is required within 60 calendar days of performance start.

  • Failure to provide a record of completion within 60 calendar days is automatic cause for dismissal unless an exception is approved by the Contracting Officer.

  • The Government is not responsible for the cost, travel, or labor hours required for this course.

  • Sound understanding of construction concepts, principles, and practices applicable to multi-disciplined engineering projects and the design, layout, and supervision of construction operations.

  • Ability to review technical engineering specifications and statements of work covering complex and diverse engineering designs or changes to the contract documents.

  • Thorough knowledge of construction practices and methods and construction management skills

  • Ability to write and speak English fluently to report on progress and outcome of technical assignments and to present recommendations to Government personnel.

  • Ability to monitor construction projects to a successful and timely completion with respect to schedule and budget.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job requires the ability to perform strenuous activity while working outdoors in extreme heat or cold, working in confined spaces, climbing, and using fall protection equipment.

The candidate must have knowledge of safety and occupational health principles, practices, procedures, laws, and regulations as they relate to engineering performance requirements and as outlined in the EM-385-1-1 Safety and Health Requirements Manual and 29 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).

At a minimum, a record of completion for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-hour Construction Training Course is required for the candidate at the time of award.
