Position: Entry-level to Mid-Level Analyst(Data Science, Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis, Machine Learning, and Visualization)

Location:Alexandria, VA

Overview:

Group W, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking resourceful individuals for the roles of Entry-level, Junior, and Mid-Level Analysts to leverage commonly used data science tools and methods in support of our Department of Defense (DoD) customer.

As part of a small, egalitarian team the successful candidate will wear multiple hats, voice their opinions confidently, and ingest critical feedback with self-correcting humility. An eagerness to acquire new knowledge and undertake broader duties is integral to success at Group W.

Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Secret clearance with the ability to secure a top-secret and SCI eligibility
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, operations research, computer science, data science or other Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) disciplines
• Pro-active approach to problem solving
• Familiarity with data analytics that require various data science techniques
• Programming competency in R, Python, or other languages suitable for managing and analyzing large datasets

Preferred:

• Master's degree in mathematics, operations research, computer science or other applicable Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines
• 1+ year's data analytic experience for entry-level roles
• 3+ years' data analytic experience for junior level roles
• 6+ years' data analytic experience for mid-level roles
• Ability to learn and learn and apply new methods as required by a particular analysis
• Operational experience in a military service or DoD environment
• Ability to work effectively as part of an integrated team
• Adept at interfacing with clients

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develops analytic products and services using data/database science, statistics, mathematics, machine learning, and/or visualization
• Supports other analysts in completing analysis and ensuring the accuracy of all work products
• Assists more senior analysts in their analysis efforts

Salary:$75,000 - $115,000(Provided as a general guideline only. Compensation dependent upon relevant work experience related to the scope of the position, education, training, and market considerations).
