As a Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Coordinating project timelines, budgets, construction activity, and personnel to successfully complete assigned projects

• Defining and executing competitive bidding strategy

• Specifying equipment performance and design criteria

• Maintaining effective communication with project team, staff, and project owners

• Establishing accountability through understanding applicable codes and guidelines to ensure designs meet codes, guidelines, and standards

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree/Technical Diploma or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institute and Three (3) combined years of experience engineering, manufacturing, and/or project management in a private, public, government or military environment

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and One (1) year of experience in project management in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Possess expertise equivalent to that which would be obtained in a bachelor’s degree or higher in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering

• Prior experience with webline, extrusion, material handling, or inspection equipment

• Prior experience with manufacturing equipment

Work location:

• Alexandria, MN

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic and international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $95,825 - $117,120, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
