The Delivery Pilot – SR Series sets the industry standard for aircraft delivery and represents the Cirrus Service Essentials at all times. The Cirrus Delivery Pilots are primarily responsible for presenting new aircraft to customers in our Delivery Center, being the face of the company during the acceptance process, and conducting the aircraft acceptance flight with the customer. He or she is responsible for sustaining an efficient, accommodating, and informative protocol for the transfer of aircraft ownership from Cirrus to the client. Keeping clients’ needs paramount, he or she supports critical phases of the aircraft delivery process, to include aircraft completion, ferry from the manufacturing facility to the Vision Center, final inspection and preparation, presentation of the aircraft to the customer and acceptance flight, and transition to the ownership phase. Superior client hospitality skills, technical knowledge, leadership, and organizational skills are crucial.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Maintains a culture of hospitality to enhance the Cirrus brand and aircraft ownership experience.

  • Administers the presentation of aircraft to customers in a safe, welcoming, informative, and comfortable environment. Educates the customer on the features of their aircraft, to include ground presentations and demonstration flights.

  • Acts as a liaison between the customer and associated departments, ensuring any maintenance or cosmetic discrepancies are remedied in a timely manner and to the customer’s satisfaction.

  • Supports the final phases of aircraft completion, ferry logistics, delivery staging and timing, and coordination with clients.

  • Ensures that aircraft meet or exceed cosmetic and mechanical standards, are completed on-time, with the correct supporting equipment, using the highest level of attention to detail.

  • Oversees and coordinates the presentation of pre-owned aircraft and any aircraft at the Vision Center for service or aftermarket upgrades.

  • Works with related departments to continually improve the aircraft finishing and aircraft presentation process.

  • Communicates effectively in a timely manner with customers and internal Cirrus departments, including Sales, Delivery Experience, Flight Operations, and Service to ensure that internal coordination is maintained in order to provide exceptional customer experience.

  • Seeks to continually modernize and streamline the interface between the client and key aircraft acquisition roles at Cirrus.

  • Maintains an adequate inventory of supporting equipment for each aircraft. Works with Shipping, Parts, and Purchasing to ensure equipment is in stock and available for every delivery.

  • Performs, on an as-needed basis, corporate flight missions, including demonstration flights, sales event support, maintenance flights, customer acceptance flights, and corporate missions.

  • Maintains expert knowledge level of all aircraft features and functionality

  • Manages condition of delivery showrooms and aircraft hangars.

  • Supports Line Service Personnel as required in moving aircraft, updating avionics databases, and other related tasks.

  • Maintains airfield driving privileges to recover aircraft if needed

  • Evaluates weather conditions and other factors to determine a safe go/no go decision while complying with Cirrus safety and operation manuals.

  • Works efficiently and effectively as an individual in team settings, consisting of Cirrus employees or outside vendors

  • Maintains flight proficiency and currency in the SR Series aircraft

  • Assists in cleaning aircraft, hangars and office areas as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required

  • Applicant must possess an FAA Commercial pilot's license with airplane single engine land rating

  • CFII and Cirrus experience preferred

  • 1000 hours total time preferred

  • A valid first or second-class FAA Medical Certificate is required

  • Ability to obtain a non-movement area MKAA ramp badge
