Linquest Corporation Tail Kit Assembly Test Engineer in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Description

LinQuest is seeking a Tail Kit Assembly (TKA) Test Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque, NM supporting the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC). An active DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.

The TKA Test Engineer supports AFNWC Nuclear Systems Integration Division planning and execution of the TKA aging and surveillance test program and ensures engineering rigor and discipline are applied during various TKA and weapon system tests. The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Retrofit Evaluation Stockpile Testing and the TKA aging and surveillance program includes but is not limited to Nuclear Weapon System Evaluation Programs (NucWSEPs), Joint Integrated Lab Test (JILT), and TKA AF Component Lab Tests (AFCLT).

Responsibilities:

  • Support AFNWC/NDS planning and execution of the TKA aging and surveillance test program and ensure engineering rigor and discipline are applied during various TKA and weapon system tests.

  • Analyze test data by using reliability and statistical software packages to verify system performance, survivability, vulnerability, and system effectiveness.

  • Support AFNWC/NDS planning and execution of the TKA aging and surveillance test program and ensure engineering rigor and discipline are applied during various TKA and weapon system tests.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in on-aircraft and laboratory test planning and execution.

  • 8 + years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a science or technical field, or 4 + years of related experience with a master’s degree in a science or technical field.

  • Familiarity with aircraft engineering systems (i.e., electrical, mechanical, logical) and standard operations, as well as detailed knowledge of MIL-STD-1553 and MIL-STD-1760 communication architecture and nuclear weapon integration.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of integrity, even under pressure.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities by levels of importance and suspense dates.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels, including a matrixed environment.

  • Able to work in a secure, confined location

  • An active DoD TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Advanced STEM degree is highly desired.
