Job Summary

The supervisor, home and community based services is responsible for organizing and supervising the operational components of the agency, to ensure quality services are delivered to clients and field staff. Responsible for coordinating client cases in which a wide range of support services are delivered to help clients in their own homes. Responsible to meet set staffing level goals each month. Interacts with clients, families, case management and the business office to ensure the client has the necessary services available.

Responsible for the overall supervision of operations team including all operational components of payroll and electronic visit verification (EVV) billing, scheduling, visit and other administrative requirements. Responsible for reaching established staffing utilization goals.

Participates in orientation and training of staff, monitoring staff performance and productivity, scheduling staff to meet client needs and assessing and planning client needs. Also responsible for corrective action and terminations.

Accountable to established deadlines and submission to administrator and other parties. Responsible for the overall ownership of daily, weekly and monthly operating reports. Responsible for reporting and resolving employee/client incidents and complaints.

Maintains timely, accurate communication with all managed care organizations (MCOs), third party assessors, state regulatory agencies, supervisors and other personnel as needed to promote responsive, appropriate care to all clients. Communication may be via phone, email, voicemail, fax or other appropriate means of communication.

Communicates with MCOs, state regulatory agencies and third party assessors regarding clients who have additional need for services to ensure appropriate paperwork is submitted and assessments are made.

Communicates with MCOs, third party assessors, state regulatory agencies and other appropriate personnel when clients are discharged from services.

Ensures pay-no-bills (PNBs) and write-offs are kept to a minimal level for group of clients. Responsible for reporting and resolving employee/client incidents and complaints.

Promotes the business location and services to the community to increase sales and promote employment opportunities. Provides services consistent with all applicable federal/state regulations, laws and program standards.

Participate in quality improvement teams and activities as requested, including random employee record audits. Ensures all regulatory compliance and appropriately escalates issues to leadership. Works with privacy officer to develop sound privacy and security practices.

Monitors, evaluates and reports client information to the appropriate personnel.

May provide information regarding the employment process for family members under applicable programs in a timely manner.

Serves as weekend on call supervisor on rotating basis.

Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma strongly preferred.

Two years’ experience in sales, customer service, project management, case management or scheduling required.

Basic knowledge of disabilities home healthcare and federal/state benefits for people with disabilities such as Medicaid, Social Security and Waiver programs.
