TECOLOTE RESEARCH INC Schedule Analyst in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Overview This position will be responsible for analyzing contractors Integrated Master Schedules, and building and maintaining government program schedules. Duties will include performing schedule risk assessments, analysis of actual versus baseline and estimated duration, evaluation of schedule progress against the plan, evaluation of the contractors written reports, and critical path analysis.

Responsibilities

  • This position will be responsible for analyzing contractors Integrated Master Schedules, and building and maintaining government program schedules.
  • Duties will include performing schedule risk assessments, analysis of actual versus baseline and estimated duration, evaluation of schedule progress against the plan, evaluation of the contractors written reports, and critical path analysis.
  • Additional duties include establishing project schedule configuration management policies, establishing a schedule strategy, and schedule planning and development.
  • Work may also include schedule estimating, substantiation of confidence level generation, development of Schedule Risk Assessment analysis schedules, schedule/prediction analysis, performance measurement (earned value), DCMA 14-Point Assessments, and project forecasting.
  • This position requires daily interface with government personnel and prime contractors.
  • U.S. Space Force (USSF)/Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO)
    • The USSF is responsible for organizing, training, and equipping Guardians to conduct global space operations that enhance the way our joint and coalition forces fight, while also offering decision makers military options to achieve national objectives.
    • The SpRCO is a direct reporting unit of the U.S. Space Force, has a specialized, restricted and unique mission.
    • Space RCO is a relatively small office filled with people who love what they do in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
    • Delivering space capabilities quickly and effectively requires a strong core culture and mindset.
    • Our short chain of command, direct connection to senior leadership and key operating principles cultivate speed to meet warfighter needs in operationally relevant timelines.
    • The SpRCO mission is to develop and deliver operationally dominant space capabilities at the speed of warfighting relevance.
    • We expedite delivery and deployment of space capabilities in response to the Commander, US Space Command requirements as assigned by our Board of Directors.

Skills Required

  • Applicant should be proficient in the use of M/S office applications, i.e., M/S Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project.
  • Excellent verbal communication, written, and quantitative analytical skills are required.
  • Familiarity with other schedule analysis tools, e.g., Primavera, PertMaster, Steelray, Milestone Pro, OnePager highly desired.
  • Project Management Institute Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP), Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), or Project Management Professional (PMP) desired but not required.
  • The position requires at 1-5 years of experience in combined industry and government acquisition experience.
  • Applicants must have the ability to gather and analyze technical, programmatic, and schedule data to perform various types of scheduling duties.
  • Problem solving and analytical thinking is an absolute must.
  • It is desirable that applicants understand developing and/or performing schedule analyses, and developing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
  • It is also desirable that applicants have a working knowledge of the DoD acquisition and project management processes.
  • Any working knowledge of earned value management, cost estimating, and the DoD Budget cycle is preferred.
  • Applicant must be able to work in a team environment.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Current DoD Secret Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.

Education

  • Bachelors degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
