Summary

The Fire Alarm System Apprentice is responsible for assisting the Fire Alarm System Lead technician with the installation of fire alarm wire and devices.

Responsibilities

• Works under the direction of the Lead Technician.

• Assist with wire install and verifying wire is free of shorts or grounds.

• Assist with the installation of Fire Alarm devices.

• Assist with pre-testing the Fire Alarm System prior to final inspection.

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Fire Alarm experience preferred but not required.

• Valid driver’s license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of fire alarm systems but not required.
