CDPHP Workplace Health Strategist II in Albany, New York

The Workplace Health Strategist provides consultative support to employer groups and brokers across all phases of workplace wellness programs including planning and management, implementation, and assessment and evaluation. Working closely with the Sales team, the Workplace Health Strategist II contributes to wellness program development and delivery in worksite settings. Travel throughout the CDPHP service area to present educational sessions to members in various settings and to meet with employer groups and brokers is required for this role. The Workplace Health Strategist II will maintain a current understanding of health promotion and wellness research and best-practices and will present consultative and programming information in a professional manner to a variety of audiences in diverse settings. Regular reporting, analysis and evaluation of programs, health assessment, utilization and employee survey data, or other data is required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health education, nutrition, community/public health, nursing, or related field required.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Certified Health Education Specialist preferred.

  • Certified Wellness Program Coordinator or Certified Wellness Practitioner preferred.

  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a client facing role providing consultative services, preferably related to health promotion, is required.

  • Health promotion experience in health plan and/or worksite settings preferred.

  • Previous experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating health promotion programs.

  • Working knowledge of health promotion and wellness curriculum development, implementation and evaluation.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and proficient presentation skills are required.

  • Access to reliable transportation to all CDPHP service areas to conduct programs during regular business hours, early morning hours, evenings and occasional weekends. If driving vehicle for CDPHP business, employee must have valid driver’s license, current inspection and appropriate insurance coverage in effect at all times.

  • Competency in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.

  • Experience in the areas of data collection, reporting and analysis is required.

  • Functions independently on a daily basis in the role.

  • Successfully anticipates and addresses customer needs, both expressed and latent.

  • Regularly generates new ideas and implements innovative solutions to job-specific problems.

  • Understands and independently navigates employer-broker-sales relationships.

  • Understands CDPHP lines of business and product types.

CDPHP salary ranges are designed to be competitive with room for professional and financial growth. Individual compensation is based on several factors unique to each candidate, such as work experience, qualifications, and skills. In addition to cash compensation, CDPHP employees may be eligible for an incentive payment, a discretionary cash reward based on employee and company performance. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
