Albany Medical Center Risk Manager in Albany, New York

Provide Risk and Patient Safety services to assigned clinical areas

Salary Range: $80,151.00 - $132,249.00

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, business, or education field; Registered Nurse preferred; Master’s degree preferred, Additional education in statistics and its application in performance improvement and/or other related settings are desirable.

  • Minimum of six years’ experience in a health care setting for RN candidate; eight years’ experience for other candidates; management experience preferred.

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in quality/risk management, including experience in facilitating process improvement teams and in organization wide implementation of patient improvement.

  • Certification by a recognized society in Quality/Risk preferred (e.g., via ASHRM)

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and present thoughts logically

  • Strong interpersonal communication, organizational and planning skills

  • Skills in public speaking

  • A focus on achieving outcomes in a timely fashion

  • Demonstrated ability to provide training

  • Demonstrated ability to recognize and manage group dynamics

  • Ability to work with others to accomplish goals and solve problems

  • Skills with variety of computer technology

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment as a consultant and in managing multiple projects
